A home you can afford
to keep.
A move is more than a nicer address. Look at the cash needed now and the recurring rent that follows.
What the public housing interface confirms
The reviewed move confirmation says that each home has its own Saturday rent. It also describes furniture moving with you and possible storage for items that do not fit. Rental and lease details can depend on your situation, so read the actual confirmation before committing.
Check these numbers first
- Weekly rent: record the amount for every home you keep, not just the new one.
- Rent already owed: unpaid bills are separate from the next normal weekly budget.
- Cash required to move: read the confirmation, including any payment due immediately.
- Furniture and extras: count only purchases you actually intend to make.
- Lease conditions: check whether ending a lease affects refunds or other commitments.
Two separate questions
Can I move now? Subtract immediate moving costs and unpaid bills from your current cash. A negative result means the plan is short of cash even before the next week starts.
Can I keep paying? Subtract recurring weekly bills from realistic weekly shift income. Positive cash today does not fix a recurring deficit. Conversely, a promising weekly income does not pay an immediate bill before you earn it.
Use a reserve, not your entire balance
Our planning suggestion is to protect your next known bills before discretionary spending. The calculator lets you add a weekly reserve target. This is your own safety margin, not a mandatory game charge.
